Cotyledon pendens, commonly known as 'Cliff Cotyledon' is a very attractive and hardy trailing succulent. The leaves are small, fat, and fleshy that can vary in colour from green, grey, and yellow with a hint of red. Beautiful red to orange bell-shaped flowers will appear during Spring and Summer, suspended from the trailing pendant branches which can reach 60cm long making this a real eye-catcher when in flower.
New growth is covered in a delicate white powder giving the foliage a silvery appearance. This plant was first discovered growing and trailing down the edge of sea cliffs in South Africa,which is where it's common name 'Cliff Cotyledon' originated from. Plant into a planter/hanging basket and watch the plant trail attractively over the edge. Like most succulents, this Cotyledon is waterwise and requires little care. Place in a bright sunny location in free draining soil.
